The best restaurant in our Cancun trip! Food, service, price.....way better than restaurants in the Hotel zone. They give you 4 different sources which made from super fresh veggies and spices! Thank you for adding a wonderful experience to our Cancun trip!

We had a yummy taco lunch here. It was a fast and easy stop and the green salsa was so good. Lots of flies around so wish there was a fan.

Great taqueria with an emphasis on pork, hence the carnitas name. They also offer birria de chivo (goat), arrachera and tongue. The tortillas are made fresh to order by a machine that has a huge mound of masa on top that grabs a piece, flattens the masa piece out onto a conveyor then the tortillas a cooked on the large comal. They taste amazing either plain or dipped in the birria consume. Instead of tortilla chips they give you chicharron (fried pork rinds). Nice assortment of salsas provided to dress your tacos and or tortas. Beer, sodas, house made Jamaica and horchata are all on offer. To go food is also available.

I had a good feeling about this place, and was not disappointed. Freshly made tortillas, delicious pork, amazing birria, this was a total home run. It's not convenient or easy to get to, which probably just keeps away the lazy tourists. I don't care about ambiance, I want great food; and that's what San Carnitas offers. Most of the customers were local blue collar workers, which I always take as a good sign; they're not going to waste their time with overpriced b.s. tacos that don't satisfy. We got a bit of everything and I wound up eating about 6 or 7 tacos total, and the Birria was definitely my favorite.

Fantastic experience with well prepared meats. I had the Gordida, beef consume soup and pork tacos. Washed it down with a fermented pineapple juice that was so refreshing in the heat (I forget the name of the juicGordidasaiter was a happy man and loved laughing. He added to our experience. I would go back when in the area.

This place is fantastic. Their staff are friendly, attentive, and speak very good English. The food is to die for! Birria tacos are the best we've ever had and their spicy salsa is very hot and very delicious. They serve crispy chicharones with the salsa - delish! Definitely worth a visit if you are staying locally. It's on the road but you can sit inside or outside. Ice cold beers, too!
